Privacy Policy

Smart View Video Cast ("the app") is published by Syed Amanullah. This policy explains what the app does with your information.


We do not collect personal data

The app has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics of our own, and we run no server that receives your data.


Your photos, videos, music and files

The app reads the photos, videos, songs and documents you choose only so it can send them to your TV. They are sent directly from your device to your TV over your local Wi-Fi network. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Photos taken with the in-app camera are used only to show them on your TV.


Local network

The app uses your local network to find your TVs, connect to them and send commands and media. Pairing details your TV gives the app (for example a pairing token) are stored only on your device.


Voice commands

When you use voice in the remote on an Android TV, your voice is sent to your TV, which recognizes it. On other TVs, the app uses Apple's speech recognition to turn your words into commands. Apple may process that audio as described in Apple's privacy policy. The app does not store recordings.


Stored on your device

Your settings, remembered TVs, IPTV playlists, recent links and whiteboards are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.


Content you choose to open

When you add an IPTV playlist, paste a link or open a site in Webcast, your device and your TV connect directly to the servers of that content. Their own privacy policies apply. Some app icons on the Apps screen are loaded from your TV or from public image servers.


Third-party SDK: Google Cast

The app includes the Google Cast SDK, used to find and control Chromecast-enabled TVs. That SDK may send usage and diagnostic information to Google under a random identifier that is not linked to your identity. See https://policies.google.com/privacy.


Children

The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.


Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page.
